Big Update.

I've finally finished the debut Mark Vidler / GHP album.
It's called "The Future, The Past & The Present Tension".
14 tracks of original music recorded between December 2008 - March 2009.
I wrote, played, recorded and produced the whole damn thing.

Despite the popular trend of actually "selling" music...I'm not bothering.
It will be a FREE download and is released on the 22nd July 2009 via
Fluicidal Recordings and through the Go Home Productions website.

I'm also releasing a companion 5 track EP called "Tension", in conjuction
with the album.

I guess the track is best desribed as Beefheart meets XTC in a german disco from the future...

The video is very Psychedelic and at one with...er, nature in a very horticultural way.

So what does it all sound like then?

Well, the obvious Vidler influences are all in there I suppose....

XTC, Dukes Of Stratosphear, Beatles, Small Faces, Syd Floyd, Beefheart, Ivor Cutler, Brian Wilson,
My Bloody Valentine, Julian Cope, Tom Waits etc

You''ll be the best judge.

The "Tension" EP is very much a stab at something along the lines of XTC's "Go+" and Andy Partridges
"Take Away / The Lure Of Salvage".

It's sometimes dark, experimental, dubby and rather loose.
The cover is a complete rip-off of Cope's "Droolian" but that's just me paying the Drude some big respect.

"Transtextuality" has five relational subcategories: inter-, hyper-, para-, meta-, and archi-texts.
